Altitude training in the Kitzsteinhorn glacier area
Even if it still hasn't snowed down in the valley you can still make tracks. On the three kilometre glacier trail on the Kitzsteinhorn optimum conditions prevail even in the summer and in early autumn. Up there the air is cold and clear, even though at lower altitude levels the heat is stifling, cross-country skiing on the glacier provides a welcome challenge. One thing is required however – a good level of fitness is recommended for sporty activities on the altitude trails.
